The professors are absolutely the best thing about the campus. When ever I have had a problem or a situation with a homework assignment, my professors have been supportive and have been willing to work with me on anything I may need assistance for, such as if I need a one day extension on an assignment or if I am concerned I will not do well on an exam, they are helpful and without them I would not feel as encouraged as I do.

The best thing about the school that I attend is that the school and the classes are the perfect size to be conducive to learning. The classes are just small enough to be able to build relationships and class cohesion while at the same time being large enough to bring several different perspectives to the table expanding the discussion topics. I enjoy the interaction between the class and the instructors/professors in the classes that I have taken. Classes are offered in several different formats but nothing really brings it to life like being in the room at Athens.

The class sizes are the best thing about Athens State. We have classes of anywhere from 10 to 20 people. As a result, the student gets to know his/her professors and develop a unique relationship with them. To know all your professors by name and them to know yours gives you a sence of community.
