I wish that I had known that some of my credits would not transfer.

Before I became a college freshman, I wish I could have paid a lot more attention in high school. In college there is plenty of reading and writing to be done. Although the material may boring, it is important to read and study over. Math and Reading are the two main subjects you need to be familar with. Freedom is also another big responsibility. In college you areresponsibile for your own actions and all work due. College instructors will not beg you to do their work, as a student you have to be willing and ready.

If I had known more about this school back in 2004, I would have been here instead of STCC in Memphis. The faculty & teachers are lazy & awful! ASU is a totally different world. Teachers WANT to help you. They have also been very flexible with my financial need, which is SO helpful.

The cost and extra fees

How the professors were when discussing specific classes I should be in and what would be good for me to take to get my degree.

I wish I had learned more about how to use my ID card to buy food. I didn't realize I could put money on it and use it instead of cash at the campus eating places. Its a very convenient thing to know.

The economy would fall.

Before coming to school, I wish I had known how to create a good balance between my school work, campus involvement and relationship with God. I now know a lot of things that I didn't before coming to college because I've learned so much along the way to self-discovery so I don't regret nearly anything.

I wish I had known a few more people. I don't make friends very easily but its getting better as time passes because everyone here is so friendly and encouraging.

It is important to get involved at this school. Even if you don't feel you need to be involved as a freshman, try it out anyways. It is important to develop a group of friends you can hang out with.
