At Arizona State University there is a huge support system for first-generation students. Arizona State University understands that the transition is difficult, and has allowed for programs to be implemented on campus to help students break down these barriers. A great example is the First-Year Success Center, a peer mentoring program for Freshman and Sophomores. Catering tools, services and knowledge to Freshman and Sophomores to establish a great foundation, as they continue their journey at Arizona State University and beyond. Arizona State University makes it easy to be first-generation student.

The amount of real world experience from radio, tv, and other assorted studios and labs that show us exactly what we will be doing in our fields when we get out of college.

It is in the heart of a great big city with lots of oppotunities all around. The city is not only very lovely and friendly but also very respectful towards the unveristy students, the teachers are very engaged and look forward to educate us every class time. Over all, a great enviorment!

When I was deciding where I was going to attend college, I knew I wanted to stay in state. I had already made up my mind to be a nursing major so I saw four options: Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, and Glendale Community College. I chose ASU since I was able to move out and start my own life but I was only a twenty minute drive from home. I also loved that I was going to be on the smaller downtown campus of a much larger university. ASU felt like home since day one.

My school is focused on student success and understanding the students. Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation is centered on understanding the students needs, wants, and helping them succeed.

Our school has many campuses within the city making it easier for students who may otherwise have to travel lengthy commutes.

The academic advisors at Arizona State are very helpful, always respond, and are not difficult to get a hold of. I have never had trouble scheduling an appointment with my advisor, although I have found that it is not needed because it is easy to simply get a walk in appointment. I know my advisors on a personal level, and the attention and help I recieve from them is beyond expectations. They truly have the interest of the student at hand, and are considerate of every individuals need.

I attend the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. It is one of the top journalism schools in the nation, the only journalism school to which the incredible Walter Cronkite gave his name. The technology is outstanding and the staff is beyond amazing-the best of the best. It's truly a privelige to go here.

Beautiful campus where everyone seems friendly and it offers many majors and classes that are not found at other schools.
