This college is just okay but it lacks the appreciate for the people of color (black, latinx, hispanic, etc.). The campus is small enough that you can see mostly everyone that you go to class with. It is affordable for a private college but lacks certain food options. There are too many racial imparities that occur on campus that makes Albion College not safe for any person of color. This occurs with both teachers and other students there. The options for living are not the greatest in the world but it is better than nothing. This college is also competitive and picky when it comes to choosing people for work studies and on campus jobs.

Albion is an interesting school to say the least. It is a very beautiful campus, and the people are great. The school is very big on sports. It is school spirit type of school. The football and basketball games' student section is alway filled, standing room only. It is always very energetic. It a good way to enjoy campus life.

I love my time and education at Albion College. There are a wide variety of classes available with great professors and small class sizes. I am currently studying biology and music, being a double major in significantly different fields is attainable and even encouraged. Professors are very good about answering questions and being available for helping students. When not in classes it is easy to find groups to participate in, for a wide range of different interests including academic, athletic, and service. I am involved in six clubs and on the executive boards of multiple. Campus is very nice; the food and housing are good and lots of other services are open for students including a library, great gym, and beautiful nature center. Wonderful place both to study and live.

My opinion of Albion College is that it’s very welcoming at first. To be honest I was worried to go to a PWI, but Albion turned out to be pretty good for the most part. I like how even though the Campus is small it seems to have a lot of involvement surprisingly and there’s great support all around.

Albion College FAQS

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Albion College is 72%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Both parents and students need to realize that choosing a college is about much more than the school's reputation. These are potentially the best four years of the student's life, and his or her choice needs to be for a school where he/she feels comfortable enough to grow and thrive. In the end, all bachelor degrees are worth the same to a prospective employer; the difference will be in the memories that the student has made in his/her time at the school. Take the time to check out a variety of schools, getting to know the students and faculty, as well as the campus. It's good if one knows potential interests, but remember that it's not essential to know exactly what you want to do after graduation. The whole point of college is figuring out where you're headed afterward. Make sure you pick somewhere where you'll enjoy the ride.
