SFCC Thomas P. Clinard Nursing Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. students who are enrolled or planning to enroll full time in a nursing program at South Florida Community College (SFCC). Applicants must be a resident of the SFCC service area, demonstrate financial need and express a “good faith” intention to seek employment in Highlands county following graduation.
SFCC Bill and Barbara Sachsenmaier Scholarship
This award is available to U.S. students enrolled or planning to enroll full time in a degree or certificate program at South Florida Community College. The applicant must be a permanent resident of one of the following Florida counties: DeSoto, Highlands, or Hardee. Preference will be given to students who are citrus majors, students who show academic potential and students with unmet financial need.
SFCC Fred E. Pennell Memorial Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. students who are attending or planning to attend South Florida Community College. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and priority will be given to students who have a grade point average between 2.0 and 3.0.
SFCC Sebring Optimist Club Vocational Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. students between the ages of 17 and 24. The applicant must be a resident of the South Florida Community College service district and be enrolled or planning to enroll at least part time in a vocational program. Preference will be given to residents of Highlands County, FL.
Beverage Industry Community College Scholarship
This award is available to California students with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher who are transferring to a four-year college or university to study full time. To be eligible, the student’s parents and/or grandparents must be the proprieters of an establishment with a California liquor license or be employed full-time by an individual or corporation with a California liquor license.
U.S. Senate Youth Scholarship Program
This award is available to U.S. high school juniors and seniors serving as elected student body participants in a selected student government, civic, or educational organization. Selection will be based on outstanding ability and demonstrated qualities of leadership.
Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship
The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship is awarded based on the student’s academics, leadership abilities, work experiences and strong commitment to their community. High school seniors with a GPA of 2.8 or higher who are residents of an area serviced by Comcast are eligible for this award.
