Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship Program

The Friends of the California State Fair offers 12 categories of scholarships with varying eligibility requirements. Applicants may apply for one scholarship category of their choice per year. Applicants must meet all of the criteria for a specific scholarship to be an eligible candidate. Applicants must plan to enroll for both the fall 2023 and spring 2024 semesters. The Doan Foundation Scholarship For The Arts

Applicants to the Doan Foundation Scholarship for the Arts, must be high school students living and attending school in Southern California, who are graduating as a senior and who are planning to enroll at a higher education institution or vocational/technical school to pursue an Associate’s degree, a Bachelor’s degree, or certificate of profession. East Rock Films Essay Contest

East Rock Films is hosting a scholarship where learning about the past can enlighten. To apply, describe someone from the past who especially inspires you – this person could be a writer, artist, scientist, activist, journalist, political leader, entrepreneur, or inventor, to name a few examples, and could be from any country. The grant for visual artists award provides direct support to under-recognized artists 21 years or older.

Gordan Hay Scholarship

The award is designed for special learning opportunities related to the recipient’s career interest in a non-performance area of theater. Examples include but are not limited to professional conferences, seminars, workshops, participation in an unpaid internship program, professional performances, or technology needs. The award will be administered by the Education Department of Blumenthal Performing Arts.
