What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Be involved. Take initiative. Choose one interest and develop it strongly. College will stretch you in so many ways, being solidly based in one interest will allow you to truly excel. Having at least one obvious strength will help with scholarships, as well, because they look for leaders. Your interest will help guide your future as you make decisions that will effect your life. Don't just sit back and relax once you have your one skill, seek out opportunities for self-development. Think of it as developing a resume. When you get to college, people will be interested in what you've done and are doing with your time. Time is money, use it wisely. Seek out and choose ways to be involved and invest your time in worthwhile causes, things that will last beyond your lifetime. Those are the things that will give your life meaning. Most importantly, don't be afraid to take risks. Find out what is important to you and stick with it. College will expose you to a much bigger world, don't be afraid to jump in and check things out.

What's unique about your campus?
Because U-Md is smaller than the Ann Arbor campus, you get more personal attention. If you are a good student, you stand out more, where as at a larger school everyone will be good students and you will simply be a face and a name to professors.

What is your overall opinion of this school?
University of Michigan- Dearborn truly makes the difference. Walking the awesome campus, difference makers will smile at you and help you out if you need tutoring. The staff is also is highly qualified and friendly. There is always something interesting going on to engage with the different people pursuing different goals. What I love the most about this campus is that it is not that enormous. Although we have transportation to move around, students enjoy of nature and the smoke-free environment. Library is the common place to be, (yes, there is not a front entrance, however, you can always drop your books on the way). Difference makers are simply constantly making the difference though fun organizations, group studies, projects, and collective studies. #GoBlue!
