Baker College REVIEWS

What's your overall opinion of Baker College?

10 Students rated Baker College

Skylar - 01/23/2024

Overall, the school is a good school. It is a smaller college, which means that professors have less students per class. I never wanted to be part of a class of 50+ students, and at Baker, I am not. The professors clearly want their students to succeed, meeting them at an individual level.

Andres - 05/28/2020

Overall a good school

Sulaiman - 10/23/2019

I chose Baker College because the Computer Programming degree that they offered there didn't have any irrelevant courses. The teachers are very knowledgeable in their professions, and are very helpful to the students. It is a very cultured college, that offers excellent courses.

Mariah - 08/29/2019

It is a great college, and they are very flexible for those who have to work. They are very reasonable with transferring credits. They are very helpful, and easy to contact. I appreciate how much they care about each and every student. They really are helpful in making sure you take the appropriate classes.

Baker College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Baker College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Baker College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

One part of finding the right college is that the student has to want to be in college. Look around and see what each college has to offer in academics and socially. Sociality is very important because being able to surround yourself with others that are in the same field, or even in another field, helps you accept culture and also helps you to learn from each other. A collge that takes pride in their acadamics and have professors that can understand a student and offer more than just being a standard teacher is a benefit to succeeding in college. It helps to know and feel that staff cares about the students that are on campus everyday or few days out of the week. Choosing a college is very important and takes time. If an education is important to recieve, who gives the education should be just as important too.

  3. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing about Baker College was the admission process. I say this because I went to the school to get information regarding the winter term. During my visit I quickly enrolled in classes at the Cass City campus. I was then given dates to attend an orientation and a compass test for placement. After completing this process the next week was the start of classes. This has given me little time to apply and receive financial aid from both FASFA and the US Army Reserve. I'm finding myself struggling as it is because of this economist situation.

  10. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Before I attended Baker College, I wish I would have known that college does not mean freedom. Seniors think that after graduating high school, that they are free to do whatever they please. This is not true. When going to college, it means more study time, less hanging out with friends, and more money spent. College students deal with financial aid, grants, loans, and if they are lucky, scholarships. Seniors want to try to get as many scholarships as they can before they start attending college. That was my mistake was not trying to get more scholarships.

It is degree focused. You don't have to take any unneccessary classes.

  12. What's unique about your campus?

I think the best thing about this school is the focus on generating a career from the education. Rather than teaching information that doesn't apply to a chosen career, they only focus on what is necessary to do well at a job. Other than classes they also expect attendance, proper dress, and focus; all valuable traits employers are looking for.
