Overall, I think that NCC is a great college to start out at. I think that their automotive, powerline and nursing programs are the strongest, but since I was only taking generals, I feel like I didn't see the best sides of NCC. Regardless, I am very glad that I started at NCC, I feel I got a good education at an even better cost.

I think that Northwest Iowa community college is an affordable great place to go to advance yourself in a career. It has a great campus culture, people are easy to get along with and everything is close together. There is a weight room, walking track and basketball court. Perfect for the occasional exercise some want to do. The food is great because its fresh and not loaded down with grease. They offer on campus housing and its apartment style. I haven't stayed in them, but they looked very up to date and clean. The instructors are great because you can call or email them when ever you have a question. It helps that the class sizes are small, because you get more one on one time. The one on one time helps drastically when you're stuck on a question and need help. Overall NCC is a great school and the town it is in is pretty great as well. close knit and low risk of danger. Perfect for anyone looking for the small town feel and saftey.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Hey, Steve, listen to me carefully. What is it that makes you get out of bed in the morning? What excites you? What I'm trying to say is,"What are you passionate about?" That is what you should do for a career. This is America, nail 2 pieces of wood together and someone will buy it. That means you can do whatever you want. If you are passionate about something and are motivated to work at it, you can make a carrer out of it. To be successful surround yourself with successful people. Do some research and find the best place to develop your passion. Now, do some more investigating; the "best place" might not be the "best place for you." What do you like? What makes you feel comfortable? Find a place that is appealing to you and you feel comfortable at from the beginning. Don't worry, you will find you niche. Next, when you get there don't waste time. Plan a schedule and stick to it. Schedule time for studying, sleeping, and of course fun. You could be receiving the best education available, but it isn't fun unless you are having fun. Be yourself.
