I have experienced constant change with turnover at university with academic advisors, teachers, and chair for our elementary program. Each semester seemed to bring new advisors and teachers due to staff departures or reassignments. This situation made it difficult to plan my academic path effectively. Each advisor had different perspectives on course selection, career advice, and even personal development strategies. Consequently, I often felt like I was navigating my academic journey alone, without consistent guidance or mentorship.

As a future Spartan living near AU (and I mean less than 10 minutes away), I have already found this little institution to be even more inviting and beautiful than what my high school has to offer. From what I've seen from the professors and educational opportunities, it seems like I may be able to blossom in studies in which I may genuinely be interested.

Aurora University is a great a great place to take your career to another level. They are really helpful and its a really nice environment to be apart of. They have a really good nursing program that helps nurses go further into their career. It also another way to interact with others and learn about other people.

Great school, they get to know the student. You can schedule 1on1 for extra help. Safe campus, surrounded by 24/7 safety patrol. You cannot drink on campus or outside of campus. You get free counseling and if you need any COVID testing it’s free! Total score on a school.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Advice to my former high school self, I want to tell you to be BRAVE. In college you will meet many new people, you will have many opportunities, and you will experience growth both personally and academically. Be brave and do not let your fear of the unknown dissuade you from trying new things and taking the leap of faith that may be necessary. I want to tell you to be CONFIDENT. Remember what you are good at, don't just focus on what you struggle with. We all have strengths and weaknesses, they are part of what makes us human. Take the time to puff out your chest and pat yourself on the back, you are good enough, you are smart enough, and you got this! I want to tell you to BREATHE. Take a moment and just breathe. Remember that it is okay to take a moment for yourself and just relax. Actually, do it... now... put the book down, walk away from that computer and take a deep breath. Your work will be better for it, just trust me on this one. Lastly, I want to remind you to ENJOY. Enjoy the experience of a lifetime.

  3. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Upon atttending Aurora University I wish I would have recieved more guidance when it came to the financial aid process. The school itself did not help me with the process and I was extremely lost and upset with my financial sitiuation. Once the school knew I was atttending and recieved my deposit I was all alone from there, they did not seem to care in the student account office about my situation and unfourtantetly did nothing to help.

  5. What's unique about your campus?

The best thing about Aurora University is its' size and tight knit enviornment. There are about 2,000 undergraduate students here. I liked this because I knew that when I began attending classes I would get much more one on one attention and really be able get the most out of my education. One of my favorite things about this campus is that everyone knows everyone and as a student you never feel left out or uncomfortable. The smaller atmosphere is really what attracted me to Aurora University.
